Q.What is Prayer? A.Prayer is talking to God.

Updated: Aug 1, 2019

What is prayer? The most common and simple answer is prayer is having a conversation with God. It is our way of communicating our thoughts, feelings, needs and desires to Him.Personally it is how I tell God about everything and anything that is going on in my life.Prayer is an avenue or way that God has provided for the believer ,to make known the deepest feelings of our hearts .The Bible ,which is the Word of God, has many things to say about the subject of prayer. From the Scripture we discover that prayer is an act between you and God.As believers in Christ, we have an amazing privilege bestowed unto us by our Heavenly Father,He invites us to talk to Him through prayer. The Scriptures say,in Jeremiah 29:12, “Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you."

Prayer Is An Act

God hears the prayers of all who sincerely call upon Him, Psalm 145:18 states "The LORD is near all who call out to Him, all who call out to Him with integrity", to those who know Him ,He is a Father. Prayer is a very simple thing, communication from the heart. You can pray anywhere and anytime. The prayer can be long or short. The important thing is to make that step to pray. Learning how to pray takes time and it is done in baby steps. If you can just say one sentence like,"Lord Help Me" that's good enough.God knows your heart and He knows your capabilities and your Christian Journey.

So just because someone else can pray for 6 hours and you can only pray for a minute, don't beat yourself over it.Everyone has to start somewhere and you can't start at the top.The more you pray, the more you will move from from one level of anointing to another.1 Thessalonian 5:17,and The Holy Spirit will help you. John 14:16 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

Prayer

"Dear Lord,I pray for a baptism of a fresh fire and anointing for prayer.Ignite my prayer life and help me to pray without ceasing. In Jesus' name I pray.Amen"

Keep the Faith* Keep the Fire* Keep on Praying.
