15 Prayers For Peace

One thing that everybody desires is peace in every area of their lives. When a person becomes a Christian one of the benefits they experience is the peace of God. The Scriptures speak of three kinds of peace; peace from God, peace of God, and peace on earth. The Bible teaches us that we are separated from Him before we trust Jesus Christ and receive Him as our Lord and personal Savior. Once a person is saved, there is peace between them and God. Peace from God comes when a person trusts Christ as their Savior, this peace is a result of the new relationship we have with God. Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 5:1).

The peace of God, this is the peace of the soul that all believers can experience during times of trial. The Apostle Paul addressed the church in Rome by saying: This is a supernatural peace that comes from God during our times of struggle and unease. It is beyond all human understanding: To all who are in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 1:7).Because we have trusted Christ as our Savior we can experience this wonderful peace of God no matter what the circumstances. This is a peace that unbelievers cannot understand or experience. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Jesus Christ (Philippians 4:7).

Peace on Earth is the unlimited peace promised by God when Jesus returns and sets up His Kingdom on the earth. The prophet Isaiah records God's plan for His Son Jesus. For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform it (Isaiah 9:6,7).When a person becomes a Christian, they become at peace with God. There is a relationship formed now between themselves and the Creator. As they experience difficulty in trials and tribulations, they receive the peace of God to help them get through the tough times. Finally, all of creation will experience God's peace when Christ returns to set up His everlasting Kingdom.

1.Prayer for Inner Peace.

Dear God, I have so much going on in my life that I don’t know which way to turn. I come to You, broken in spirit, to ask You to calm my inner turmoil. I have tried to sort things out in my own way, but it is all futile, so in my humbleness, I come before You Lord and submit to You, asking You to grant me peace of mind and a quieting to my soul. Please give me Your peace and Your strength. I know that without You I can do nothing, but I also know that Your peace is poured into the hearts of those that trust in You with all their hearts. Lord, I trust You now and forever and I give my life and future into Your hands, Amen.

2. Serenity Prayer

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; 

and wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time; enjoying one moment at a time; 

accepting hardships as the pathway to peace; taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it; 

trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will; that I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him forever in the next. Amen.

3.A Prayer For Peace With Your Faith

God, teach us what it means to have faith in silence. When we face trials that are beyond our understanding, help us to find peace. Help me be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer. You set all things in accordance to Your time. Remind us to wait patiently, and find peace in Your plan. Dear Heavenly Father, when I look at the circumstances of my life and at the world around me, there are many reasons to worry. Many reasons to fear. Many reasons for unrest. But when I look at You, all else fades away. Thank You that YOU are my PEACE, my perfect Prince of Peace who died on my behalf so that I could live in peace, because You have conquered the king of fear. Dear Lord, I pray for Your perfect peace to fill my heart. I pray You would remove any anxious thoughts and any fear that is in my heart and mind. Lord, please touch my heart. 13. Prayer for family peace.

Lord, Thank You Jesus for the gift of family. O Lord I come before You today and I bring my family to You. There is no peace in our family and there are too many misunderstandings and fights. Please help us to love one another. Help us to understand each other, help us to forgive and forget the wrong that was done to us by one another. Lord bless our family. Help us to live in harmony, to provide support to each other when needed and at other times space for each of us to grow. Help us to take the time to receive the warmth of Your grace in our lives and to drink from the water of life daily, all this we pray in Jesus' powerful name.

14. Prayer for Peace at Work.

Father, please be with me at work. When I feel stressed, help me to lift my eyes heavenwards and breathe in Your peace. When I feel tired, help me to allow You to be strength to me. When I feel irritable, help me to draw near to You and fill up my heart with love. When I feel inadequate, help me to live in Your grace and rest in the knowledge that You are with me. When I fell down, help me to hear Your voice bringing new inspiration and insight into my life. Be with me at work and as I work Lord, in Jesus' name. Amen.

15.Peace in my marriage.

Lord, I pray for your peace to rule richly in my marriage and in my home. You said in Your Word that the peace You give passes all understanding. I receive that peace right now by the power in the blood of Jesus. I choose to let the peace of Christ rest in my heart and in my partners heart. I declare and decree that as the peace of Christ rest in our hearts, it will extend to our marriage, in Jesus' name. Amen.
