Bringing someone to Christ is a beautiful and rewarding journey, but it can also be challenging. One of the most powerful ways to help someone find faith is through prayer. When we pray for someone to come to Christ, we ask God to open their heart, guide their steps, and reveal His love to them. It’s about lifting them up in our prayers and trusting that God will work in their lives in His perfect timing. Whether it’s a friend, family member, or even a stranger, our prayers can make a significant difference in their spiritual journey. Here are some heartfelt prayer points for someone to come to know Jesus.


Prayer Points

1.“Gracious God, in Your great mercy, set my friend (name) free from spiritual captivity. Grant repentance to (name them) leading them to a saving knowledge of the truth, that they may escape from the snare of the devil having been taken captive by him to do his will in Jesus' name.

2. “Dear Lord Jesus, please open the eyes of (name) to see Your truth and love. Help them to understand who You are, and to accept You into their life. John 14:6: ‘Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”‘

3. “Lord Jesus, in Your Holy name, I pray for (name) to have a desire to know You and to understand Your love for them. I pray that they would be open to hearing Your truth. Romans 10:17

4. “Father God, I pray for (name) to experience Your divine peace and joy. I pray that they would find hope and healing through a relationship with You. May they find comfort and strength in Your presence in Jesus's name. Romans 15:13: ‘May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.'”

The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.'”

8. “Heavenly Father, please open the eyes of (name) to see the truth of Your Word. Help them to understand Your character and Your love. I ask that You would draw them to You, and that they would come to know Your amazing grace in Jesus' name. Ephesians 1:18: ‘I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people.'”

9. “I pray, Lord, that (name) would seek Your truth and follow Your will for their life in Jesus' name.

15. “Heavenly Father, I pray for (name) ,please let them experience Your presence, for in Your presence there is fullness of joy in the name of Jesus Christ.

17. “Dear Lord, please fill (name) with Your Holy Spirit and transform their life. Romans 8:26: ‘In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.'”

18.“Heavenly Father, please bring (name) into a deeper understanding of Your word and the teachings of Jesus Christ our lord. 

19. “O God, I ask that You would guide (name) and help them to know Your ways. I pray that they would experience Your wisdom and Your truth. Please help them to understand Your Word and Your love. May they grow in their faith and become a light for others, becoming evangelists of the life changing power of salvation of Christ in Jesus' name. 20. “Lord, please help (name) to be a beacon of light in this world. May they shine Your truth all over the world by the power in the blood of Jesus I pray. 

21. “O Lord, please grant (name) wisdom and understanding. Help them to see the world through Your eyes. May they become a person of character and integrity. May they walk in Your ways and show Your love to others. Proverbs 4:6: ‘Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you.'”









22. “Father I lift (name) up in prayer and I ask that You touch their heart and give them a heart for others. May they be as generous and loving as Jesus was in Jesus' name. 

23. “Heavenly Father, I ask that You would guide (name) and help them to make wise choices. I pray that they would have the courage to stand up for what is right and to follow Your ways. May they become a person of wisdom and strength. Psalm 112:1: ‘Praise the Lord. Blessed are those who fear the Lord, who find great delight in his commands.'”

May they speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves and defend the weak and vulnerable. Proverbs 31:8-9: ‘Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.'”

28. “Dear God, I pray that (name) would live a life of humility and service. Help them to put others first and to serve with a pure heart. May they be filled with the fruits of the Spirit and be a person of love and kindness. Philippians 2:3: ‘Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves.'”

29. “Lord, I ask that You would help (name) to have a heart of gratitude and contentment. May they be thankful for all You have given them and seek to live a life of simplicity and generosity. May they be generous with their time, their talents, and their resources. 1 Thessalonians 5:18: ‘Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for You in Christ Jesus.'”

35. “Abba Father, I ask that You would give (name) strength and courage to face whatever challenges come their way. In the midst of trials and tribulation, I pray that they will not backslide. If they do help them to get up again. May they be able to overcome any obstacle with Your help. I pray that You would grant them Your strength and power, and that they would rely on You for everything in the powerful name of Jesus. Philippians 4:13: ‘I can do all this through him who gives me strength.'”.

36. “ Lord, plow the fallow ground of (name)'s heart making them receptive to your Word. Make the seed fall on the good soil You have tilled. Give (name them) a noble and good heart, help him hear the word, retain it, apply it, persevering to produce a crop in Jesus' name. Luke 8:11-15

40. God, grant (name them) the will to respond to Your call that (name) might declare with his/her mouth that "Jesus Christ is Lord," and believe in his/her heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, and be saved. Romans 9:15, 16, 10:9

41. Jehovah God in the name of Jesus, send other believers into (name)' s life to witness the gospel to him/her: godly men and women who will exemplify Christ and cause him to want to know Christ for himself. Matthew 9:38

42. Abba Father, please open more opportunities to speak the gospel into the life of (name). Break down barriers which might hinder the proclaiming of Christ in Jesus' name. Colossians 4:3
