Hi there, my 13 year old daughter started misbehaving and acting out of character and when asked she would not say anything. I bought the happy thoughts journal for me because my mental health has been all over the place. She saw it and asked if she could have it. She has been journalling her mood and all things worrying her. Woman of God, we started a weekly mom daughter check in using the journal, my daughter has opened up so much, she didn’t know how to talk to me so wrote it down. We never know what our children face out there especially when we uproot them from their usual comfort zone. We moved from Nigeria to U.K. and I didn’t know how badly this would affect my bubbly and sweet baby. Culture too plays a role because we are expected to be strong and over gone challenges. We pray together after our check ins and we take turns to do so. My daughter is becoming a young woman of prayer. God bless you ma. I always pray for you in my prayers.May the oil on your head never run dry.NC
